This email is just to wish you everything of the best for the future. I have no doubt that you will succeed in whatever you set out to do. I have come to know you over the last ten years as an astute businessman with entrepreneurial flair that has both a very sound financial background off which to draw and fantastic leadership qualities honed through many years of leading management in the financial industry.
The legacy you left amongst the 15 managers you recently led is enormous. The fact that we became and remained successful both as a team and as individuals is a true testament to you and the way you combined your strategic and financial thinking with your ability to lead people. This is aside from the fact that in excess of 80% of us that reported to you have commenced studying towards a higher degree as a direct result of your influence and motivation.I am sure that both the businesses and individuals that use your services going ahead will benefit greatly from their interaction with you.

Whilst I fully appreciate that you are taking on a new challenge and have no doubt that you will be successful, I am sad that you are leaving us.
You have made a tremendous contribution to XYZ and in the short time that I have known you I have really enjoyed working with you.
As Mark Twain said;" Good judgment comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgment". You have so much experience, leadership and the work ethic to be successful. We will miss you!

Thank you for unselfishly sharing and the guidance throughout the years. The loss of your voice at meetings will be deafening. As you leave, you take with you a huge chunk of expertise, wisdom and common sense. We all understand the old adage that nobody is indispensable, but regretfully XYZ is now left with a vacuum.

I must say that it was exciting to share your passion and energy albeit for a very short time. The energy that was initially sapped on starting my new challenge was fast filtering back.
We have yearned for direction over the last time and your direct approach was refreshing and made what we have a great challenge to take on!!
My senses have been talking to me for some time now and I believe that the conversation will become more powerful in the coming weeks and months!!
