Executive Coach: Ian van Jaarsveld, (MBA)
30 plus years experience in the corporate environment
Supporting the challenges of executive leadership
Whilst you are coaching your team……………………...who is coaching you?
Have you defined your personal strategy
that will achieve the vision you have set for yourself? |
In professional sport, teams and individual stars reach optimal performance and Olympic greatness all with the help of extensive coaching structures, involving a coach and/or support coaches, managers, trainers, support staff etc. The question therefore is why in business is it considered a weakness for a leader to have a coach? The growing modern application is for every business executive leader to have a relationship with a business coach.
As a leader you must inspire performance, the business must perform "because of you; not despite you" but how do you keep your eyes on all the balls in the air at any point in time? How do you keep an objective view on something you live in all day? This is where the Executive Coach or business leader mentor steps in; to watch your game for you.
A coach is your “conscience”, your “check” to help ensure that the organisation strategy is on track, that the frame of reference is still sound. Ian van Jaarsveld comes from a rich and lengthy experience in excess of 20 years coaching and mentoring leaders and managers at all levels within the corporate environment.
Increasingly, superior management is as critical to bottom-line firm success as is professional competency, yet we cannot be all things to all people, nor can we, by ourselves, do everything.
Many people know of Lance Armstrong and his 7 successive wins of the Tour De France. Do all these people remember whom his coach and manager was? Likely not, yet without these support structures Lance would not have achieved what he did. Bruce Fordyce, the legend of South African Ultra distance running, once remarked that he used 32 support ‘seconds’ on his many Comrades wins, yet who knows the names of these people. Once again without their assistance Bruce would not have been able to be as highly competitive as he was.
Who should employ a coach?
All leaders who are responsible and have a passion for the construction, selection and deployment of teams of people, in order to optimize the organization's performance.
You must be ready and willing for this dynamic intervention that will change your life. Contact us to arrange a confidential discussion with Ian in order to test our rapport, expectations and deliverables. This could be the single most significant decision you will make this year.
The Process
A confidential executive relationship will be established that will provide a listener and a soundboard for your current status as a leader according to your perceptions and possibly measurements. Your Coach will then assess and measure your current tactics and make recommendations to optimise your performance. We draw from numerous world-renowned leaders, coaches and gurus, substantiated by academic research and qualified experience that will enhance each participant's experience.
